Yes.
We're in for twenty or so months of her fortress of paid operatives, private investigators, various and assorted fixers and enforcers, softball media hosts, the sycophantic and protective old lying Marxist media, loads of screened audiences, and as you say, the virtual ubiquity of meaningless listening tours.
Thanks, lloks like heavy traffic now.
Gotta sing at church this morning but got a doozy of a tale for you folks.
I submitted an article for the Sussex Country Republican Women's Club's newsletter. I had been asked to take over this newsletter, something I am frankly not all that enthusiastic about as I'd prefer blogging. But I like to do my share, as it were.
So my little 150 word article got REJECTED!
Hey, I'm used to rejection, being a writer and everything, but damn, my piece was just a little nothing fluff of prose that wouldn't harm a fly.
And yet it became the cause celebre from the local chapter all the way up to the national association of Republican women's clubs and go on, what a supreme waste of time.
Know what I did wrong? Heh. I mentioned the sanctity of life. The "theme" was "how women can make a difference" and hey, one of my sentences was something to the affect "women understand the value of life in the womb". I'll post it in its entirety later but giving a synopsis here. I mean I didn't go on like a religious zealot and I didn't even mention the word "abortion".
But the little piece was an "editorial" as my accusers called it, and too "controversial".
The GOP candidate who ran against Mike Castle last election, a lackluster Jan Ting, REFUSED to committ to his feelings on abortion. Thus most of the disenchanted Repubs in this very blue state switched over to an independent candidate, one Christine O'Donnell. Who is now a Fox news pundit, by the way.
The Republicans in this state of Delaware are NOT conservatives, ladies and gems. Delaware, where even the GOP women are not allowed to talk about the value of life in the womb.
It's disgusting. And you will not believe what a big damn deal they made over my little 150 word piece. Sure it's an editorial, what the hell did they want for a 150 words...the Gettysburg address?
But hey, no editorials in the GOP women's newsletter. Can't risk alienating Delaware's liberals and baby murderers.
Will get back at you all later, after church.
Got a meeting with these ladies this upcoming week and looking for wise advice on how to handle this.
Agreed. And, Sandy Berger with her as her foreign policy and terrorism consultant, along with Wesley Clark to help her with military advice. (What a team!)
Greg has been on several times recently - on weekends.
Yeah, that hit me years ago. I used to be devoted to This Week with David Brinkley, but I haven't watched any of these shows since then. I don't even know why I'm reading this thread about the shows, I'm not going to watch.
I am going to watch Reliable Sources at 10 est to see blogger Dan Riehl take on serial assaultist, barking moonbat Mark Stark.
Gee, how things work out.
Thanks G.W. and Alberto.
I watched it earlier and FR is mentioned at the end. LOL~!!
Calculating is exactly right. Never utter a word from the heart. Think, think, think even how loud to laugh. So, it always comes out phony if it doesn't come out from the heart.
I would say five words:
Threats, intimidation, narcissism, ruthlessness, and networking.
Per Timmy, MoveOn.org is a liberal democratic group, NOT a bunch of left wingers. Just liberal, dontcha know.
This whole opening segment on MTP is all about how dumb and duplicitous George Bush is. It's a train wreck in Iraq according to McCain, and Timmy is obviously continuing his efforts to get us to lose this thing.
Um, are you saying Jimmah and Bubba were not "phonies"?

'Triangulation' is the act of a candidate presenting his or her ideology as being "above" and "between" the left and right sides of the political spectrum. A related term is third way politics.
The GOP have taken 'triangulation' to a new level, which I call 'strangulation'.
'Strangulation' is the act of a GOP candidate presenting his or her idealogy as being "abhorrent" and "baffling" to the right side of the political spectrum. A related term is RINO politics.
Bullseye!
It works in New York. We'll see if it works in the rest of the country. I'll bet it will. The MSM will see to it.
