Kitty doesn't want to end up taking a nap in Fort Marcy Park.
Much larger attacks are in the cards..............
You know, of course, that Hillary has called for the elimination of the Electoral College.
I just saw Rep. Mike Pence on CNN...and he is considered one of the most conservative.
He has come out in favor of Pres. Bush's plan...HOWEVER, today, they had him opposite Maxine Waters, who heads the "Out of Iraq NOW" caucus...that endorses cutting funds for Iraq..and bringing the troops home within 6 months.
He got less time to talk than Waters (naturally)...and even though he had so great points that conseratives need to think about...he spent WAY TOO MUCH time pointing out how he AGREES with Waters...and how the American people AGREE with her.
I don't have a problem with Pence or others having some skepticism...or disagreements...but, people like Pence rarely get airtime.....so when they WASTE it by agreeing with the dems the whole time....it just makes me furious.
Newt Gingrich does that all of the time, also.
Come to think of it......... maybe she made that tape after that three weeks she was mysteriously "out of sight" (having some work done). People say she looked pretty "fresh" during that announcement.
It's anyone's guess.
Yeah, he is a former Canadian. He used to be on all the Talk Shows like Carson, and was really good. I guess he was not sick enough or vulgar enough to stay on top.
I guess I'll not get the job in the newsletter, eh?
Lord, can't have that...women thatwrite and make other women THINK. Can't have this, ladies and gems, can't have this. Wouldn't be prudent.
I mean, come on...it's a great little piece. Yes it's how The Wise I sees it but I'd certainly have no problem with clearly labelling it as an editorial, a pundit piece or even a derisive allusion to the writing being only the outrageous rantings of the nutball Fish woman.
But there's a whole lot packed into a couple of paragraphs, there! I even end with a bit of whimsy...a tongue-in-cheek reference to the power women REALLY have.
Which they do, yon ladies and gems. I know all about being a woman and know even more about men. Been there and done that.
It's just so damn SMALL, come on friends. What the hell is so awful about my little bit of words? Tell me what....?
You know what else I think? I think if I stood up and read the thing at the next meeting, this coming Weds, I bet the rest of the women would like it. I know these women...more of them think like me than those hoity-toity poohbahs can even imagine.
I'm telling you, it's just an innocent couple of paragraphs. Think about it...this is really a kick in the teeth that a Republican women's group REFUSED it.
If nothing else says this is where the GOP is headed, I'll be so bold as to suggest that this little vignette epitomizes it.
Okay, calming down. Want to save my rage for the most opportune moment.
Or in 2001!
Babs Boxer is the most successful criminal in California's history. She successfully wrote more than 400 bad checks, didn't do a single minute in jail and got a job promotion with a pay raise. You simply cannot classify her as the dumbest in the senate.
Yep. Like this...
Yes indeed.
Congrats Ali.
Are you sure those flowers weren't plastic...... you know Hillary is plastic.
;-)
This is not new and has been a complaint coming from the right for years now. We have complained and commented and yet rarely has anything been done about it. Powell failed to make any great changes in State, Rice is doing better at State now but perception is it has not changed enough. Rumsfeld did change the military quite a bit and we now have the best fighting force in our history even though some of the old guard generals cannot accept the change. Bolton at the UN was fantastic, but constantly under attack by Democrats that made it harder. The FBI and CIA are doing better but there are still too many leaks and people there who want us to lose so the left benefits.
In the above, Newt is right on target as to what we believe is still wrong and what has to be done. But, I don't know if anyone can make the changes necessary in the near future. This has been problematic for decades and it may be unrealistic to think it will change quickly.
Your one mistake was using the word "conservative", Fishtalk. It's the equivalent (in liberal eyes) to the N-word. ;^)
I like Mike Pence and hope someday he will be Speaker of the House.
