Wonder where this clinton/obama ticket leaves Bill Richardson...he announced yesterday, but seems to have been ignored by the media other than in NM...couldn't happen to a "nicer" guy. Bad as obama is, I think richardson is worse, he's a clinton tool. Where this leaves Bill Richardson is as the 2008 Vice-Presidential Candidate for the democrat party. Obama is SOL. In political spin tone, here's ten reasons:
1. Richardson is a member of the up and coming minority - Hispanics.
2. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
3. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
4. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
5. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
6. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
7. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
8. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
9. Richardson is a Clinton Insider.
10. Richardson is a Western Governor which will fit in perfectly with the dem strategy to remove the Independent Western US from the GOP side of the ledger.
It's a potentially winning strategy. The Western US has all but been ignored by both parties since 1860. The dems know that they haven't played well in the south since peanut boy became president. They can't break the Evangelical Christian/Gun owning South. But, they can play well in the California dominated, sparsely populated, environmentally concerned, and increasingly secular humanist Western US.
Regards,
TS

Where this leaves Bill Richardson is as the 2008 Vice-Presidential Candidate for the democrat party.I am inclined to agree. The Clintons are going to want someone they know they can control and who has no trouble with their brand of dishonesty and criminality. Richardson fills the bill.

Mondale thinks their 4 years were a picnic. That's not the way I remember those 4 years. Me neither. I clearly remember them as awful in a hundred different ways and good in almost none.
But many voters weren't around then, so what's a little revisionist history slung around by just another lyin' Liberal?

The sound bites I just heard on the radio from Richardson's announcement were positively painful. Is there ANYONE in that party that actually can think and speak instead of merely regurgitating the latest focus group tested slogans? Do the Democrats have ANY leaders left at all? They are all nothing but a bunch of public opinion poll watching whores.

Richardson's announcement is akin to saying "hey Miss hill, I can make a better VP than he can."

I sincerely wish that you are correct. I was concentrating on Newt's statement this morning that our bureaucracy is in a terrible state. He was quite harsh with respect to what he described as the need to get to work on areas such as intelligence and defense, excluding the troops.
Much of the nation, as sad as this is, must have substantial evidence that our enemies are working together and planning, in due time, more devastating attacks. Lacking this, I believe that rodguy has accurately described the terrible likelihood that more 9/11's or worse are in our future.

I can't possibly disagree w/anything you said. I just saw Congressman Mike Pence (R-Indiana) on CNN, followed by Maxine Waters.......the difference in solid intellect vs implanted dem talking points was stark.

To: rodguy911
Complicating this effect is the simple fact that even if there were multiple attacks on the US, our own DBM would do their best to minimize their effects, spin them into another "What did we do to make them do this" excercise, blame it on Bush or ignore it completely.
Exactly as they have done with 9/11.
Those schmucks are not only traitors, they're so locked into their own agenda they wouldn't recognize an attack on this country that didn't include their own death.

Hillary's formal announcement of her candidacy is anti-climatic. She's been aspiring to the presidency since the day she was born.

I saw that segment with Mondale and Carter....did you notice that Wolfie ONLY referred to Carter as "Mr. President"...and Mondale as, "Mr. Vice President"???
I notice the regularly refer to Pres. Bush as either "Bush" or "Mr. Bush"....
GAG ME.
BTW...I did notice that Mondale "manned up" enough to at least say that there were things in Jimmah's book that he did not agree with...and the rest of the intvu, Carter did NOT look happy...LOL

That's one of those things they have on the "movie trivia goofs" shows .... where there is an airplane seen flying way overhead in a story about Moses.

the US majority is no longer into struggle and sacrifice for a secure future Your money quote. I fear you're correct.
Multicultural dogmatism, soft living, self-esteem stroking, an inferior socialist education, ubiquitous Liberal propaganda, libertine hedonism, and drugs will all do that to you. When you add up all the pieces together, they spell "easy prey".
