oops.... passes = passed
Hmmmm, good way to start, you can always build once you get your foot in the door.
Have you read the Declaration of Independence, Constitution or Bill of Rights lately? Those documents are full of philosophy, morality and ethical platitudes. The reality is that nation building and nation maintenance requires passionate commitment to the greater good and dispassionate knowledge of (as well as the ability to articulate the results of) current American policy. A serious setback in the GWOT has been a deficit of ideologically confident Americans. A further setback has been the steady assault on the minority of ideological Americans by stereotyping them all as neocons. If youve read anything about American history you'd know that we didn't get here by dispassionately building roads and power plants.
BRILLIANT ACTUALLY... diabolical but brilliant..
ALL thats left are either craven cowards(all mouth) or stuck on stupid..
Why don't you just run on the Republican ticket?
Anyone can.
Change the party , give the people a real choice.
Would you consider that idea?
We could use Mark but I'm no depending on Shawn Hannity for anything. He puts the left in the wrong spotlight.
1. Draw up a platform and let us consider it. But remember that every issue is polarizing, to some degree. This is a minefield.
2. Everybody needs to spread the word to their own circle of friends. Can you say "grassroots" support?
3. Failure is painful but success might be even more so. Learn how to manage success.
I will be watching this effort VERY closely and hoping for the best. Let the games begin!
I understand your feeling about Sean w/ the left. I too get angry that he gives them so much air time; however, he does give people like us the opportunity to tell them our side. Did'nt you ever want to tell Cindy to shut up and go home? I do love his callers!
There is nothing inherently wrong with lobbying in and of itself. Its merely a mechanism for organizations to express opinions to our elected representatives. Useful information is injected into the legislative process through lobbying. ( I wouldn't want to rely only on "information" provided entirely by government sources to base laws upon.) That said, like anything else, it can be -- and frequently is -- subject to abuses. The problem is when the transference of information is accompanied with "incentives to listen". That corrupts the process. Unfortunately, we often elect people who are receptive to incentives. That's the fundamental problem.
I am not a lobbyist nor do I have connections with any business that engages in lobbying.
Ah, so we repeal the First Amendment?
Realistically, it's always easier to get people united against a common threat than for a common goal. I think the membership was much more unified in the beginning because the Democrats were in power. Since the Republicans came into majority there has been a perception that the "conservatives" are now in control of the political power, and we've fallen into factious squabbling over how it's ought to be wielded. IMHO.
After long deliberation, the only way to save the current union is to eliminate the career politician. TERM LIMITS for all public officials including judges. In addition, take away all political perks such as the very best in medical care for the Washington politicos and their obscene retirement plans. Make the politicians only retirement plan Social Security and I guarantee that they would fix the system tomarrow. If it were their retirement system too, they would stop embezzling the funds and replacing OUR money with worthless IOUS.
Simply amazing.
Another effort to split the vote even further than it already is. Has anyone read the true definition of insanity?
That cuts both ways. The moderate muddle wing of the party is doing their hell-best to alienate the right wing.
If they truly want unity, they also need to realize that they cannot do whatever they want by forming alliances with the new Dem majority.
The Democrats are in an effort to allienate the Right Wing?
I think that the Right Wing is doing a pretty good job of that all on their own.
Many of us live here in Kalifornia. Maybe, if we can show conservative progress here, it will spread across the country, just as the wacky enviroideas have.
Don't we all ?????????????
100% waste of time.
If you want to be relevant you must step into the existing relevant political party.
Right now that is the republican party.
A FR party is a futile and delusional effort. Now make a FR caucus in the Republican party then you have something. However again you risk being marginalized.
Martinez is a perfect example of preventable incompetence.
No, moderate pubbies will alientate the right wing if they form alliances with Dems to pass legislation that could not be passed with a GOP majority (such as shamnesty).
