Name three states that Bush won which would switch to Hitlery in 2008 because of a Newt/Rudy ticket.
Hitlery going to win Mississippi? Alaska? South Carolina? Georgia? Montana? Indiana? Ohio - where she enjoys an approval rating in the low 30s?
So you're telling me Hitlery will absolutely destroy her husband's two performances without batting a breath?
I don't think so. Methinks your phobia blinds you to her weakness, much less Newt's strength.
Newt took down Clinton and the Democratic party in their PRIME. He bucked history and an obsessed press to get it done. He has no more baggage than any other major contender, and he is a likable guy when he's actually trying to appeal to people. In a national race, the press can't fail to cover his speeches, and then can't ignore the race itself.
Newt/Rudy would win, period.

Three states that Dubya won but Newt wouldn't win are:
Nevada
New Mexico
Ohio
add Colorado and maybe even Florida. Newt is a poor national candidate.

I think you have it backwards....Rudy/Newt.
Rudy has the star power plus ability to raise cash that Newt lacks.
Plus Rudy is even more articulate then Newt and thats saying a lot. Lastly Newt says he won't make a decision till Sep....by then Rudy could have a ground game and 20 mill raised.

Newt thourouhly beat Hillary and Bill in 1994. I would be happy to see a replay in '08, Newt wins hands down. Her baggage is heavier than his baggage by tons. And Rudy is far less acceptable to conservatives ideologically and behaviourally than Newt.
Also, ALL of Newt's baggage at this time is pretty well known, others' baggage will be peeled off like onion... in addition to what we already know. That's how campaigns unravel - drip-drip-drip, with a possible knockout punch delivered by Dems just days before elections (Bush 2000 [beer, DUI], Bush 2004 [National Guard], Foley 2006).
