If the United States led the world in developing new alternative fuel technologies, we could create new jobs, export new products, slow global warming and reduce Iran's leverage on the international stage.
If frogs had wings they wouldn't land on their @sses every time they jumped.

"The President does not have the authority to launch military action in Iran without first seeking Congressional authorization -- the current use of force resolution for Iraq does not give him such authorization."

Pelosi and Reid had better read the Constitution and the previous use of force resolution right after 911 that said our military could pursue terrorist that have an interest to attack us regardless wherever they are. The Constitution is clear that the President can repel an attack or imminent threat for up to 30 days without congressional approval. I would love to see the congress splitting hair about what constitutes an "imminent threat".

It was a great President who said, 'America will pay any price...to assure the survival and the success of liberty.'

What she realy meant

To paraphrase President John F. Kennedy:

Let every American know, regardless of his or her wishes, that we shall pay any price, impose any burden, force any hardship (upon you), support any enemy, oppose any friend to assure the survival and the success of socialism.

We have begun to make the American people safer, by passing the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.

We still don't have a plan to win the war on terror but we love the sybolism.

We have begun to make America's families more economically secure, by raising the minimum wage, lowering prescription drug prices, and making college more affordable.

We feel good because we think we're help American workers, except for those laid off because of the wage increase, while realizing that nobody can run a household even on our minimum wage, but, gee, we feel good.

We have brought hope to America's families, by advancing stem cell research.

We push for embryonic stem cell research even though past research has shown there is no value in this research.

We have begun to set America on the path toward energy independence, by rolling back multi-billion dollar subsidies for Big Oil and investing in alternative resources.

We have increased costs to American consumers who use products derived from oil because companies, when taxed, simply pass on those costs to consumers.

And, we have created the most open and honest Congress in history by passing tough ethics reform.

We pride ourselves on our open and honest government except for the several Democrats who have been found to be shady, and except for us pushing through legislation and not allowing Republican legislators time to review it.

Did the press completely ignore this event?

The only references I can find are just rehashes of this boutht-and-paid-for "press release" from USNewsWire, America's premier news whoring company.

"The answer is to find a new course that brings this war to an end."

The simply cannot utter the word "victory", can they.

Its time the President told these azzholes that they are'nt in charge of the war. Its also time that he told Warner and Hagel to shut the hell up. He won't but he should.
