Good choice on the 'hugest barf alert'.

I'm gonna go back and point out areas of interest.

'hugest barf alert'

Er, I think the proper FR form would be:

hughest barf alert

: )

That was certainly true for the people of Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster, compounded by a man-made disaster. It is now 18 months past time to get our response right.

1. Blame the mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana for not doing anything. It's not Bush's fault.

The war has produced tens of thousands of U.S. casualties,

2. Where does she get this number? Reid pointed out a little over 3,000 KIA.

For my own information, does casualty mean a death, or sustaining an injury as well?

Last year, violence claimed the lives of at least 34,000 Iraqis - a rate of almost 100 a day.

3. What do they think our men and women are doing over there? College-style drinking parties? If they want the violence controlled and more soldiers to come home alive, we need more boots on the ground to help every other soldier come home alive.

For over a year, Democrats have been proposing a better plan for Iraq: a plan based on what is in the best interest of our country now and in the long- term fight against terror and a plan embraced by the bipartisan Iraq Study Group.

4. Didn't Democrats push for more boots on the ground?

As Secretary Jim Baker of the Iraq Study Group noted, we must talk to our enemies, not just our friends.

5. Our enemies want to talk to us with bombs. We should reply in kind.

Five years after we defeated the Taliban, the extremists are returning.

6. When did we defeat them? I must have been drunk when they spoke about that.

This morning, I'd like to be clear: The President does not have the authority to launch military action in Iran without first seeking Congressional authorization -- the current use of force resolution for Iraq does not give him such authorization.

7. Whatever happened to the 30-day rule? I propose a large-scale 29 day campain to oust Amedinejad or however his name is spelled.

extremists are out-working the U.S. in the battle for hearts and minds.

8. When you and the media downplay our efforts, of course the country isn't going to like what's going on overseas.

Sorry this turned out so long, but they're all just really pissing me off.
