To: Mobile Vulgus
Yes, but bloggers or anybody else shouldn't be fined if they aren't in the business regardless of how many might read the comments. Merely putting comments out there would be covered entirely by Free Speech.
To: rottndog
But Moveon.org will be fine cause it will be subsidized by Soros and his bottom feeding ilk.

No it would not. Most of this article appears to be of little value if you want to know what is in this absurd bill.

Would FR be shut down?? No. Jim Rob would just have to "register as lobbyists and file financial reports". I don't see the big deal here. But it is the little guy, one-man blogger, who is going to be at the disadvantage.

Mr President,
Please get out your VETO pen!!
Veto this nonsense before it even leaves the Capitol building.

He didn't veto McCain-Feingold, what makes you think he'll veto this, it's just an extension of it?

Nothing to worry about, folks. Let's all gather round and watch American Idol, Nashville Star and other mindless distractions and let those Democrats who know what's best for us take over running our lives.

Maybe JimRob would have to find an actual free republic to have FreeRepublic hosted in.

There was a time when it was illegal to teach a slave to read and write. Well, the cat is out of that bag. Now we'll just fine them $200,000.00 for blogging.

We should call this the "Let's bring back Dan Rather" bill.

I don't see the big deal here. Well I do. Because you see, once the socialists get their noses under the tent on this they will continue to stifle just about any kind of speech they deem "inappropriate."
These people are stepping over lines, and some of us are getting sick and tired of it.

Maybe JimRob would have to find an actual free republic to have FreeRepublic hosted in. Just move the servers to a yacht and park it 13 miles offshore of Santa Barbara.

Yes, but bloggers or anybody else shouldn't be fined if they aren't in the business regardless of how many might read the comments. Merely putting comments out there would be covered entirely by Free Speech. Even those 'in the business' should not be fined. Soon people will have 'free speech', but there will be no vehicle to get their 'free speech' to the masses.
