While I'm not a big Rudy fan, and hope he does NOT get the GOP nod, I had a vision.

Assume it's Obama vs. Giuliani.

Joe Six-Pack is undecided. Three days before the election, he gets reminded that Obama's middle name is Hussein and he used to be a Muslim.

Joe Six-Pack might not be that intellectual, or all that conservative, but he does love America. He knows who was responsible for 9/11 (Muslims.) He knows who stood by NYC when it happened (Giuliani.) He knows what Obama's middle name is and that he has Muslim heritage. Who is he gonna vote for? Rudy.

Assuming such a match-up, Rudy wins 40 states. JMHO.

Again, I'm not a big Rudy supporter, but wanted to share my thoughts on that scenario.

As someone commented to me the other day, "No more Clintons in the White House, and who the hell would vote for a guy with the name of Obama?"

I believe most Americans feel the same way.

That is truely horrific, just like all progressives who oppose the death penalty for serial killers but not for innocent babies.

Neither of them is moderate, though Hillary might actually fall a hair to the right of Bammy on some issues.

Obama has been groomed as the '08 presidential candidate since his "We are all Americans" speech at the '04 DNC. Hillary likely did not oppose this.

Perhaps Bammy's ONLY function in the '08 election cycle is to make HILLARY appear to be a moderate in truth...at least in comparison to him. Then this would make a bit more sense.

Clinton or Obama are easily beatable provided of course the Republicans nominate McCain or Rudy. My fear is that Clinton and Obama will team up as a Presdential and VP ticket which would be formidable. Then we could counter with a McCain Guiliani ticket which would sweep the nation in a landslide.

By next year, we'll be hearing that Obama is in fact a religious conservative. In the Chicago airwaves, I keep hearing how Obama is Mr Clean on political ethics and how he is active in his church. The Purpose Driven Pastor, Rick Warren, praised Obama's character on CNN.
