As some one who supports victory without qualification I am a little disturbed by your suggestion that we give blanket support for the president. If his plans fail in Iraq like they have so far, we have a duty to point this out and push him to take the kid gloves off of our armed forces and to push for a plan that works. I wonder how many people here who scream at anyone who criticizes the handling of the war thus far would be doing so if Bush had a D after his named. Granted I have been here for just over a year now, but I know of no one here who is a defeatist or cut and runner. Most people I here from here like me want our troops to be able to act like troops and for us to achieve victory.

Winning in Iraq is too important to sit by while Beltway clowns give the circus away. Failure and incompetence have consequences, and they'll affect us all. FR would be a President bashing powerhouse if the war was conducted exactly as it has been so far, but with a D at the helm.

I wonder how many people here who scream at anyone who criticizes the handling of the war thus far would be doing so if Bush had a D after his name.Do you really wonder that? It's pretty obvious. FR has plenty of party hacks. The good thing is that FR has plenty of different types of people. This website would go down the drain in a hurry if it was filled with nothing but "A Day in the Life" type threads.
