There are some who are very vocal in opposing the President plan and the war, and no I will not quote them, you will find them in almost very thread related to the war.

He may be referring to some of us who while agreeing with the need to establish a US offense in the mid-east think that Bush prematurely took a winnable situation and made a real mess of it. We should have taken an overwhelming force position early on. (Powell is correct on this point at least) As it is, if this is not a kick-a$$ and take names strategy it won't work. We have waited far to long to get tough. I don't count this opinion as defeatism but I don't reward Bush with accolades now for finally taking a path close to the one he should have insisted on from the start. (: The back side of this mess is that by poorly handling this part of the WOT Bush single-handedly lost the Republican majority in congress and squandered our chance to move the country ahead. )....
Now if we want to talk about defeatism let's see who stands up and supports RINO nuts like Hagel, Snowe and the rest...That is defeatism.
