"As of right now, there is little assurance your vote will count..."
(Excerpt) Read more at cnn.com ...
Real Americans insist on real ballots.
It was the media among others who called for a reform of the system.
They don't deserve to have it both ways.
One-trick pony.
Real ballots like they used in Chicago and West Virginia when Kennedy was elected?
I am not sure what you mean.
If it's all you can do, it's all you can do.
Any issue you could name will be moot without the vote.
I still find it interesting that we didn't hear the standard whining about "rigged" voting machines from the democrats after this past election.
Past abuses of election processes don't justify acceptance of worse abuses now or in the future.
It was the Republicans who lost.
Well, yes...but that's been true since at least 1960, and has nothing to do with voting machines. ;)
You don't remember all the media activists who got upset after the 2000 election and wanted the system changed?
Now they're trying to have it both ways.
You know Florida 2000 - had to change something punch cards were no longer any good. So now we are here - and they are still complaining.
Besides its not as easy to stuff an electronic ballot box.
Until we reach the point of the USSR where there is no useful purpose of an election then the leftist media like CNN will not be happy.
What do you mean by "both ways"?
Without a real ballot, not one of us has a real vote.
He's referring to Florida 2000 where the Dems complained of hanging chads, butterfly ballots etcetera...
Computer scientists have done studies showing that it's much easier to tamper with elections via electronics, as well as more concealable.
The 'voting' machines make it more convenient for corrupt Democrats to rig elections and get away with it.
That could easily be solved:
Mandatory 10 year prison term for anyone involved in tampering with any electronic voting machine for any election.
And then enforce it.
Worse??? More like "the same". If you make it complicated enough, the precinct bosses in poor areas will mess it up.
Past problems with elections aren't an excuse to tolerate present and future problems, particularly not those of greater severity.
Another flip-flop from the left.
