Despondent after George W. Bush won re-election, a small group of billionaire Democrats met in San Francisco in December 2004 to reflect on John Kerrys failure to capture the White House. George Soros, Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter B. Lewis, and S&L tycoons Herb and Marion Sandler were angry and depressed. They felt they had been takenseduced by the siren song of pollsters and the mainstream media who had assured them that the capture of the executive mansion was theirs. But despite giving millions of dollars to liberal candidates and 527 political committees, the donors came away with nothing. At about the same time, another group of wealthy Democratic donors was meeting at a hotel in Washington, D.C., feeling the same way. The U.S. didnt enter World War II until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, political consultant Erica Payne told the meeting. We just had our Pearl Harbor.
Determined to bring the Democratic Party back from the political wilderness, Soros and the others decided they needed a long-term strategy to regain power.
In April 2005, Soros gathered together an even larger group. Seventy millionaires and billionaires met in Phoenix, Ariz., to firm up the details for their fledging political financing clearinghouse.
Conservatives David Horowitz and Richard Poe, co-authors of The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and the Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party, refer to the Democracy Alliance as probably one of the most active Shadow Party groups today.

David Horowitz was on Hannity & the Ugly One last night in a discussion of Duke's Gang of 88. He seemed to be havy trouble with his voice, but was very angry. Anyone know when his voice sounds so strained and he could not give it enough volume. He was not in his best form.
Better title for the article
The Illusion of grass roots politics on the left
(So much for campaign finance reform)
I'm afraid I don't know what could have been wrong with him or his voice.
Are any Backroom Breeders good for America? Can they win against the Islam Terrorists - the Real enemy? What a tangled web...in any case a head in the sand gets his a$$ kicked. How many media folks are on the DA's payroll. How many "dead men tell no tales..." Yes, get a list of these guys, their motives are not sweet.
BUMP!
which is why they just tried to bring back fairness docrtine. (hush rush law)
It is also why the just tried to declaure ALL grass rootes email efforts to be lobbying.
Every bit as disturbing as what Soros & Co. are trying to set up, is the recognition of just HOW MUCH MONEY from every kind of contributor gets pumped into the coffers of the National Committees of both parties and the war chests of individual candidates, and all the money put into establishing "organizations" charged with the task of activist propaganda and other virtually "virtual" objectives--just consider a ten year slice, say from 1994 to 2004, and the amount is probably into the hundreds of millions. The amounts are HUGE from BOTH sides, and what is the ultimate objective? Seems to me it does nothing but feed the gridlocked status quo, and finances an abstract "dream" not mutually shared by both sides.
Think of what could be done with that money, if only it could be diverted into structural change. The never to be overcome obstacle here, of course, is that both (D) and (R) want and need the money ONLY to finance their massive organizations, as if to keep a perpetually expiring patient on LifeSupport, with a bill of lading as ludicrously overpriced as a $500 Pentagon hammer.
CORRECTION: The figure of hundreds of millions for a ten year period should probably be increased by a factor of a hundred. ANYONE out there have actual figures?

Soros ping.
OH DEAR.
Soros so early in the morning! Yuck.
Can't be good for my immune system.
Sigh. Will check it out. Thanks.
I still believe that the treasonous activities publicly known are just the tiny tip of the iceberg in terms of the efforts of these demonized agents of hell.
GRRRR.
Better go drink my vinegar and water.
Bump this to the top!
Democracy Alliance? Why not Progressive Alliance or Liberal Alliance? These idiot lefties always whine about Bush naming things like Patriot Act but they never see the hypocrisy on their own side.
