Al Qaeda terrorists are fleeing Baghdad in advance of President Bushs 21,500-man troop surge, a senior military intelligence officer told Pajamas Media today. Under orders from the al Qaeda commander in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, fighters are streaming toward the Diyala region of Iraq.
The apparent evacuation of Baghdad by al Qaeda forces comes from direct orders issued by al-Masri, the former soldier who took control of the Iraqi wing of al Qaeda following the June 2006 bombing death of Zarqawi.
Initially, the intelligence officer informed Pajamas, the Baghdad-based AQ fighters did not want to leave. Al-Masri had to send unequivocal orders for their retreat, adding that one of the lessons from the Fallujah campaign was that Americans have learned how to prevail in house-to-house fighting. Masri said that remaining in Baghdad was a no-win situation for the terrorists.
Al-Masri has ordered al Qaeda forces to regroup in the Diyala province. This might be an attempt to lure American troops away from the Iraqi capital, forcing America to hunt al Qaeda in the province while the terrorists slowly slip behind them and return to Baghdad, he said.

Who is going to stop them?
Yep, the dimocRATS are our worst enemy. They are doing their best to help Al Qaeda.
"Who is going to stop them?"
THAT is the scary question, since people just put the Democrats in power.
Some rats run (theirs) -- others remain (ours).

"But he also suggested that war opponents in congress need to consider what message they are sending in favoring a resolution or legislation that opposes the president's "surge"-- saying it was "worth asking" the question of whether they might sending a message to al-Qaeda. The implication was that their opposition could be seen as giving al-Qaeda a green light to expand their actions. "
BUMP.
I hate democrats.
The TROOPS are doing a great job dealing with, and destroying, the Islamic terrorists in the Middle East. It is the home-grown terrorists that were just elected to Congress that concern me.
Democrats and the terrorists have the same objectives: the destruction of the US and the West.
You said -- "We WILL win, as long as we have the fortitude and not allow the Democrats to surrender us to the terrorists."
Well..., then, according to those two criteria, looks like we're gonna lose... [i.e., fortitude and Democrats]
Besides, have you ever see what roaches do when "attacked"? They just move to another hiding place, another wall, another building, another place -- and come back later. We haven't "won" against roaches in our civilization's history -- and we're not going to win against this Al Qaeda roaches, either (and those Islamics are as numerous as roaches, and make more just as quickly as roaches) -- until we eliminate Islam from the globe. But, "fat chance" that will ever be seriously contemplated or acted upon.
So, it doesn't look good...

You, too, huh?
LOL -- you, too?
How creditable is this source? Pajamas media?
Exactly!
This is good news, IMO. I think our surveillance will serve well in locating those fleeing Baghdad. The province they're heading towards is in Iran's direction from Baghdad, and is where the B-2's dropped their payloads a week or so ago. And I think President Bush realizes he is still commander-in-chief despite the slight change of majorities in the two houses of Congress. He will keep our national security efforts on track. Thanks for posting this; I hadn't seen it elsewhere.
Trying to shame President Bush and lose the war. They've done it before --- it's their M.O.
Democrats are truly our enemy within.
How can we win when we give the enemy advance notice as to what our plans are. This is no way to win a war, where's the element of surprise.
Richard Miniter, I have found, has very credible sources. I've been quoting him in my tagline for months. I absolutely believe it.
