The Bush bashers have been behaving badly for six years. No surprise there. The surprise is that they appear to be winning.

The hard left has hated Bush and has been protesting him since day one. However, more and more people are getting uneasy abotu how much of a lame duck he has become. Conservatives and Republicans elected George Bush to further the conservative agenda... not to act like a liberal. I dont think the radical left is winning at all (as you suggest)- I think it's more along the lines of conservatives getting upset because Bush is sitting in DC with his thumb up his butt and blowing the people off on the real issues such as a border fence.

Please get your head out of your butt and go bash the President on DU where you'll be welcome.

Bush has been either a failure or impotent in just about everything except the war on terror. He has squandered a republican Congress and is seemingly, with a sigh of relief, handing the reins over to the dems.

Why my goodness, how respectful you are! How about this: if conservatives, including prominent radio talk show hosts, would get off THEIR butts and support the White House, he wouldn't be a lame duck!

off on the real issues such as a border fence.

That may be YOUR "real" issue, but it's not MOST people's.

Go find a thread about the border and bash Bush there; there's only about a billion of them on this forum.

"...conservatives getting upset because Bush is sitting in DC with his thumb up his butt and blowing the people off on the real issues such as a border fence."

Conservatives are upset and should be, but I don't think Bush is doing as you say. As for the border fence, you are correct. Why should our borders be less secure than Iraq's?

I suspect that a great number of "Bush Bashers" actually voted for him twice, as I did. I support our troops 110% and support the President on most issues. That dang border thing just won't go away.

A "lame duck" is a politician whose successor has already been elected, like Buchanan in 1860. That's why the 20th Amendment is called the "Lame Duck" Amendment.

The only people with brown thumbs in Washington are Senators who are too cowardly to either support the war or cut off funds and instead want to pass a nonbinding pouty lip resolution. That's about as lame as it gets. Meanwhile, the President will STILL be POTUS for two more years, trying to win a war that his political enemies would prefer to lose so they can make a political profit.

And in any case, even if the President had his thumb up his butt that's not as bad as his detractors on the HILL, in the MSM and even here who have their cranium's up their own rears.
