"...conservatives getting upset because Bush is sitting in DC with his thumb up his butt and blowing the people off on the real issues such as a border fence."

Conservatives are upset and should be, but I don't think Bush is doing as you say. As for the border fence, you are correct. Why should our borders be less secure than Iraq's?

I suspect that a great number of "Bush Bashers" actually voted for him twice, as I did. I support our troops 110% and support the President on most issues. That dang border thing just won't go away.

I for one, have taken plenty of issues with Mr. Bush's decisions. And I not only voted for him twice, I donated money to both campaigns. I for one don't appreciate the label of Bush Basher, just because I don't drink the cool aide of those who label us. And even if he has disappointed me on more issues than I care to bring up, again, I would do the same, given the oppositional candidates and the crises facing the nation.

We, those who love this Republic, had better start concentrating on the things we agree upon, rather than those that we don't, or we are doomed.

What is insidious, on this Forum especially, is that people of honest, traditionally valued, conservative principles are labeled as Bashers, when we speak our minds, which is one of our inalienable rights.

It was much more civil around here, one conservative to another, back when we were united against the Xlinton team. And I have been around long enough to remember those days. Unfortunately, with the likes of some of the posters to even this thread, those days, more than likely, won't be seen again!

I proudly voted for him twice also. However, I am agrivated with him because I feel that the conservatives are not getting their monies worth out of him (so to speak).
