Forgive me for the throwing that last barb rather than addressing your grievances with me.

I am not going to relive that entire argument here. For one, I don't remember all of it and considering my posts were deleted, it's kind of hard to go back and verify.

I don't recall using the exact phrase "Baal worshiper". Not saying I didn't. But if I did, it was an unfortunate hyperbole on my part and I do apologize. You are right, that was an unwarranted and un-Christian attack.

I do remember tossing the term idolatry around and again I apologize. I have really had a hard time understanding those who don't seem to distinguish between nationalism and Christianity, equating support for the President or the war effort as a litmus test for how good a Christian one is. I just don't get that world view.

And yes, I felt that the prayer thread when I looked at it that day was more of a praise thread so I offered a controversial prayer using the words "deliver us from tyranny". That is, I recall, how this long standing feud started. BTW, I still pray that because I see too many politicians who are using terrorism threats as a pretext to expand the state, even if they are sincere in their beliefs.

I do apologize for questioning your sincerity as a believer. I obviously tilt to an extreme in defense of civil liberties and have at least been guilty of what I accused you of, not separating my politics from my Christianity.

And there's no doubt, I often post things just to stir the hornets nest so to speak, another shortcoming I suppose. But I am genuinely frustrated with this administration over the last several years. I don't see how a good "conservative" could not be but I apologize if I implied whether or not that makes one a "good Christian".

I do humbly ask your forgiveness if I implied you were somehow not genuine or not a true believer because of any political differences we share. IMO, it's not worth it. If you are a true sister in Christ, then it is stupid for me to divide with you over these things.

As Alan Keyes (one of your favorites) has said: "Let us agree to disagree... and disagree every chance we get!"

I don't HAVE that world view. My politics are always, to the best of my ability, guided by my understanding of Scripture and prayer.

Thank you for your humble apology, sir. I accept it with all my heart and forgive you for any sins you have committed against me.

I also ask your forgiveness for sins I have committed against you, as my brother in Christ.

I hope we shall in the future be friendly opponents in the few areas in which we disagree.

I may not agree with everything the Boss has done, but he is our President and deserves our support.

Bush is a public servant. We're his boss.

President Bush is the elected leader of our country and deserves the respect due the office even if you do not like him personally. Referring to the President as simply "Bush" is a tactic employed by the liberal media and other enemies to show their contempt.

He is by far the worst ........ and that nasally voice of his is just bad tasting icing on the cake.

Are you sure you're not mixing Hannity up with Mark Levin?

Do you ever get tired of being cynical and dishonest?

That is a serious question.

Who can forget the odious snootiness of Laura Ingraham over Harriet Miers?

That's part of Laura's schtick is her cynicism and sarcasm. I love it.

My point still stands that he is sure as heck not my "Boss". You, I and all other Americans are HIS boss.

Referring to the President as simply "Bush" is a tactic employed by the liberal media and other enemies to show their contempt.

I'm reasonably confident that "Bush" does not read Free Republic. If I were to meet him in person, I'd refer to him as "President Bush". But here on FR, I'm not going to go out of my way to post his full title just so I don't offend some oversensitive freepers. Bush it is, though if you'd prefer, I'd be happy to cll him George instead. Your choice.

I'm still looking for a picture of Laura posing in a leopard print mini-skirt for a 1995 New York Times Magazine cover story.

I have periodically looked on the internet for this picture but have never found it.

People sometimes talk about the internet being scoured of things that are not complimentary to them. This seems like one of them. That picture is nowhere.

If this is true: "Laura Ingraham is nearly as well known for posing in a leopard print mini-skirt for a 1995 New York Times Magazine cover story on young right-wingers as she is for her seething hatred of “Elites” (aka liberals) and her grueling struggle against the oppressive liberal media. (http://www.campusprogress.org/tools/182/know-your-right-wing-speakers-laura-ingraham)................. then where is the picture??

You can't find everything on the internet. Someone would have to have kept a copy of that issue and then scan it and post it online somewhere, and then it becomes problematic because they would be clearly violating copyright laws... this would be especially evident with "The New Yorker" banner plastered across the top of it. Still, it might appear out there somewhere, who knows. Maybe a freeper who has it will scan it.

I'm not familiar with the picture by the way, nor can I vouch for its existence.. ;)

For God's sake the picture exists........ it's just that it has gone away like all the lies of the Clintons.
