WASHINGTON, Jan. 17, 2007 Coalition forces detained 40 suspected insurgents and discovered large weapons caches this week during raids throughout Iraq, military officials said.
Coalition forces detained 28 suspected terrorists yesterday during raids at several foreign terrorist safe houses across Iraq. One senior al Qaida IED coordinator and a weapons dealer in Mosul were among those detained, and in Ramadi ten suspects were detained for their alleged association with foreign terrorists. |
From the news reports we get it sounds like half the Iraquis have been killed by insugents and the other half have been arested only to be released in short order.
Why are we fighting a political war instead of a war?
Don't tell us you still give those any credence?

Anyone notice a difference?
The enemy gets DETAINED or CAPTURED
Ours are dead.
This is the FIRST time we have suffered 77 or more dead in 4 consecutive months.
More handcuffing of our troops with worse than Nam rules of engagement.
How many of these detained/captured will the Iran puppet Iraqi PM have released.
Split it up and get out.
If we have to come back - come back with ICBMs.
It may come to that if the NY times et al get their way, and we have to have a few more American civilians killed on home soil.
That won't help the victims....maybe you, maybe me, but at least the idiots who believe the media BS will have a day or more to revel in their folly.
I predict that Tehran will go first, and then....maybe their ordnance suppliers in Asia will be second.
Cat, ya got a point there.
Sure losing hope fast though.
