agreed.....Newt isn't "flawed", he was just slandered and piled upon because he was tooooo effective with the "contract".....it scared the hell out of thelefties. All they really did was make a big deal out of his divorce, which was already inevitable and under way when his wife was diagnosed. I think he (and her, for that matter) did not want to remain "married" only because she became ill.

I'm now certain that McCain, Romney, Rudy or Newt will be the GOP nominee and the next President of the United States. Thanks toe-sucker.

Then again Morris may have a completely different article on Thursday. We will have to wait until after the election for the toe-sucker to tell us where he really stood.

Newt Gingrich can win this. He is easily the smartest of all the contenders and he had the message and the message discipline to win the voters he needs to win.

ok, so that explains his FIRST divorce ...

Newt is brilliant and the best spokesman for the GOP/conservatives on the scene today. However, you can't say he isn't flawed. If his personal discipline were half as good as his political discipline, he'd have the nomination and the presidency in a heartbeat. As it is, he has a lot to overcome, and I'm not so sure as you that he can do it.

Aw, most of the lefties who knew him from their shared CFR meetings got along with him okay. After all, when defeated Tom Foley turned over the Speaker of the House's duties to Gingrich the CFR insiders lost nothing, since both are CFR members, as was House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt and South Dakota Democrat and Senate Minority Leader Larry Pressler.
