A samurai sword wielding vigilante has come to the rescue of two Police officers when they were attacked by an armed gang in South Shields, England.
A group of men had forced their way into a house and were ransacking the place when passing plain-clothes officers were alerted by a woman inside screaming.
The criminals outnumbered them and were armed with a hammer, knives and chains and attacked the Police officers.
As one of them stabbed at a Policeman with his knife, a mysterious do-gooder appeared from nowhere and attacked him with a samurai sword.
One of the burglars began running away but was stopped by the stranger who struck him on the arm with the sword.
Two of the criminals were arrested, but in true hero style the samurai disappeared before police could speak to him.
A third man was arrested later and two more are still being hunted.
Clarify, I should. Need more Jedi we do. Defend the republic we must. If backward sepaks Yoda, backward speak we should.
More succinctly, as Plato defined in Republic, the United Staes is a "polity."
Sure it does... "pacifists are parasites of freedom"
The "republic, not a democracy" jazz annoys me with its glibness, especially when there's someone behind it like Neal Boortz, who should know better.
Neal annoys me in general. He should have just stuck with the Fair Tax idea instead of wantonly bashing the religious folks.

P.S.
Boortz was good when he was hammering the Muslims, but when he turned on the Christians in the same manner, it kind of ticked me off...
How many Christians use beheadings and rape in this country as a political tactic?
HILLARIOUS!!!
Cheers!

Well, congratulations. You've found a term that might actually be more vague than "republic," which isn't easy.
A polity is a political body -- it could be a town, a county, a state, a country, a freshman class, a scout troop, a PTA chapter, a debate club. The United States is a polity. So is the United Nations. So is the Elks lodge #1437 in Pigsknuckle, Arkansas.
Pretty much my point.
LOL!
How about Crows Landing, CA ?
Wasn't that a Dallas spinoff? No, wait, That was Knotts Landing.
That was very interesting! Thanks!
I was the one who said, "No Capes!" Oh, BTW, some of them have capes...
Mark
