For way too many Americans, movies and TV shows and occasionally, novels are the primary opinion-shapers in their lives. The left knows it, it's their chief propaganda arm, and it's their territory. They're nervous and they should be. 24 is a hit because it resonates on a core level of logic and cold, hard pragmatism. Can't have too much of that going around, now, can we?
Well, I can certainly say at least some novels HAVE made a huge difference in my life.
First and foremost would be "Once an Eagle" by Anton Myrer. Great book, a novel, but the lessons are of leadership.
Another one, and even more powerful for me is Orwell's "1984". Chilling when you see the face of liberalism in it. Of course, they see right wingers, but are simply unable to see they are closer to the bad guys in "1984".
Hmmm ... I wonder if that 'realistic' approach will hold-up when we whack Iran and North Korea soon? I think it will! ...........FRegards
