It is killing them, my Friends in Groton on-board there, say the OP tempo is sapping everyone. Unfortunately it's making a lot of guys make the decision to get out, even if they get to shore duty.
I guess I was nuts in my day, I did back to back sea tours from a BN to a Fast boat and only went to shore duty because the detailer told me I had to. But then this was back in the 80's when we had "fun" *L*.
