January 15, 2007 -- Has a former president of the United States - a Nobel Peace Prize winner, no less - given his blessing to wanton murder and terrorist assaults against Israel?
Sure looks that way.
How else to read that astonishing statement on page 213 of Jimmy Carter's new anti-Israel screed, "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid"?
To wit: "It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Roadmap for Peace are accepted by Israel." (Emphasis added.)
You don't have to read between the lines here.
Carter isn't calling on the Palestinians to give up terror and murder now as a way to convince Israel they are serious about peace. Rather, he says they can wait until they've achieved their goals at the bargaining table. No need, says Carter, to give up terrorism until then.

Liberals....Blame Isreal first, then America.
Dhimmi Carter is perfectly clear in his advocacy of terror.
There have been about 80 threads here discussing it.
....as is often the case.
Worst ex president ever.
It's odd how people can't seem to find things like this before they post them.
No surprise. Carter's a flake, always has been. Nothing new there. I read somewhere last week about 14 of his staff have resigned over the past several weeks in protest of his "brilliant" book. ;)
bump
I'm surprised he hasn't tried to blame it on his ghost writer.
When a suicide rabbit comes after Jimmy, he won't be so supportive.
Bought and paid for, Jimmuh is, since the 1976 Saudi bail out of his infamous peanut farm (I remember shortly after Carter was elected, the airlines switched from giving little bags of almonds to bags of peanuts).
Some of Jimmy Carter's former staff, who resigned over his book, have cited gross inaccuracies in the book. One also charged that Carter pilfered material from other writers and altered maps. It may be no coincidence that Carter and Michael Moore shared a box seat at the 2004 Democrat Convention.
Odd how the editors of the New York Post consider this a revelation.
If there's a thread devoted to this particular sentence in Carter's book I can't find it.
Be a sport and provide the link. Thanks.
And first, worst president...
How this fool was ever elected, I cannot understand!
Direct aftermath of Watergate is my guess.
I can't be sure though, I was only one year old when we elected this freak.
Carter is no more intelligent today than he was when he was president. He's still nothing more than a goofy peanut picker.
My apologies to all good Peanut Pickers, it was not meant to slam you. Just him.
