I find it odd that as nosy and as busy body as people can be that no one questioned a whole bunch of things. Like why the kid didn't attend school? How did he get a job at a pizza place? If he worked, he had to present some sort of ID--there is no way this kid had anything on him, much less a social security number. Why did Devlin's family members just accept some bogus story that this kid dropped out of the sky?
Lots of wierdness connected to this story, but I'm happy he is back with his family.

School was addressed as he attended a private school elsewhere.
Did Shawn have a job? I think it is Devlin that had the job at the pizza place, manager.
I believe Devlin's family members were unaware of Shawn's existence... from what I have seen.

The child didn't work at the pizza place, the perp did. Devlin had worked for IMO's pizza since he was in high school, (25 years).
I've read that no one in Devlin's family knew about the boy. His employer also said yesterday, though he has known him for 25 years, he did not know anything about him living with a teenager. Apparently the neighbors were the only ones who knew that Devlin had a boy in the apartment.
I'm also amazed that Devlin was able to keep these areas of his life so separated.

The way I understand is the kidnapper had the job at the pizza place, Many people do a lot of speculating, I admit I am guilty to, but I think this is just human nature
