I believe Devlin's family members were unaware of Shawn's existence... from what I have seen.

He was told to say he attended a private school, he never actaully went any where. If Devlin worked at the pizza place, then that would explain how Shawn worked there--under the table wages of course.

He was given a cell phone and allowed to sleep over at a friends house and never called for help. What an incredible case of Stockholm Syndrome. That guy did a number on his head didn't he?
