Dont buy water front land.....
There are also some very interesting stone ruins in Southern Japan that are underwater.

WOW!!
That Desghidorah has the electrical voltage and kick of an Insecticutor! He lit up Mothra but good! I was also stunned at how Mothra's inner fuel sources continued to re-ignite and burn after he was dumped on the lawn! His flying ability sucks.

Ooh, nifty techniques. I hope they can learn a lot more about the mantle, especially the fundamental convection paths since those are what direct the plates. I'm surprised that they were able to locate megaliths 2900 km below the crust since the radius of the Earth is only 6371 km. This is an area I am not well versed in (even though I did study geophysics for 2 years), but it still intrigues me. Thanks for the story!

Interesting. Add continental sinking to continental drift.
To: DH
What's causing it?Global warming, of course. The hotter global mantle is causing the cold megalighs to fall:
"megaliths sink because they are colder and heavier than mantle surrounding them"

I think story-wise, he was the result of French nuclear testing. Originally an iguana, iirc.
Now the Blob came from meteor. But not a megalith.
