THIS WEEK (ABC): National security adviser Stephen Hadley; Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.; California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari; Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Carl Levin, D-Mich., and John Kerry, D-Mass.; Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz; retired Gen. Richard Myers, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Right, sometimes some will get to believe Ben Nelson is a republican & Hagel is a democrat.
Autopass? (I really like that! LOL)
I didn't read the whole thread, just saw anita's post!
Good riddance to bad rubbish, Hagel. I wish the voters would recall him, before he can do further damage.
Unless, of course, another attack happens on American soil, in which case the cry will be why we didn't do more.
Some VERY interesting info on Hagel @commondreams.org entitled "If You Want To Win An Election, Just Control The Voting Machines"
You're right and that's the point. Hillary is truly a serious threat and we have to treat it that way.
With Democrats showcasing children so much right now, it would be great to see the counter asking "who's representing the aborted babies she and other Democrats are responsible for?" Being pro-abortion has little credibility when one is claiming to be pro-family, no matter how many children she holds on her lap.
I'm watching Reliable Sources, Howie is talking about the President's speech and how the media reacted to it. Old Martha Raditz says the media really understands this war, we know the numbers, we are the experts, and damnit, we can condemn it because we are smarter than the President. I can't watch MTP because Fat Tim makes me literally ill so I usually watch Rliable Sources. But this is too much also -- the only individual who makes sense on the show is Pamm Hess from UPI who actually makes sense. Why is the media only paying attention to the political aspects of this war and not discussing and investigating the impacts of withdrawal. The consequences of leaving has not been investigated by the media, has not been discussed by the media, and tht is because they have no understanding of the impacts of losing. Hess is good and the others Roberts (Cokie's husband) and Martha are liberal ninnies.
the herd of boneless wonders these days(in congress) is a bi-partisan one.--Bill Crystal.
I don't trust crystal at all but every once in a while he will surprise you.
It amazes me that the Republican Party cannot do anything about him.
I know from my understanding of American politics that the Parties are not as powerful in the US as they are in Britain and cannot discipline their Members like ours can.
In Britain you would get the whip taken from you if you disagreed with a senior member or your party leader (the President must surely qualify as this) which would mean you are automatically de-selected and would not be able to stand as your party candidate at the next election. You would also be expelled from the Party or asked to resign from the Party.
That's impossible. We are going to be fighting AQ and militant Islamic terrorism for a long time. No matter who replaces Bush, he/she can run but can't hide. The terrorists have something to say about how long this conflict goes on. It won't be our choice about whether to take on additional action or not.
Very interesting article.
" Unless, of course, another attack happens on American soil, in which case the cry will be why we didn't do more."
In that case, it will be Bush's fault...no matter when or where it happens.
There is no way the WOT will be done before President Bush finishes his term in office. From day one President Bush has said this will take longer than most people would like. Nor is it in one country, but global as we are seeing in Somalia and the Philippines. President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld put the new military and national policy in place to win, now it's a matter of using it. We lose if and when Democrats get their way and we surrender.
Unless, of course, another attack happens on American soil, in which case the cry will be why we didn't do more.
Agreed.
Geesh
Vice President Dick Cheney, right, inspects the broken arm of Christian Nelson, 9, grandson of Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., center, in the Old Senate Chamber on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 during a re-enactment swearing-in ceremony.
Hillary coming out yesterday, after one day in Iraq....and proclaiming that we will lose, while IN Iraq, and after talking to our military leaders.
Should be first stake in the heart of her campaign...the GOP need to pounce on her for that...we know no Dems will.
She even advocated cutting and running, IMHO...
LESS THAN 10 HOURS UNTIL JACK BAUER ISSUES CTU JUSTICE TO TERORISTS--BE THERE!!
