An increased Latino population in Southern California leads to racial tension, CNN's Ted Rowlands reports.

They have become the video counterpart to the NY Times.
All I got was a commercial.
So, what's it all about?
Locally we seem to be experiencing some friction in "the hood". Jackson is a small city of around 30,000 and that part of town used to be predominantly poor blacks. Now it looks to be about half hispanic these days.
My little town's only black family moved out here to get away from that violence. They didn't want to raise their kids in that situation.
"My little town's only black family..."
Lemme guess. Was the town so small that the town whore was a virgin? ;)
There's only about 150 of us here. I'll ask about the virgin at the post office on Monday.
Actually this has been going on for sometime. The racial anti-white media has ignored it because only whites are racists. This goes against what they have been preaching over the years. Apparently they cannot ignore it anymore.
You're kidding, right?
With all due respect, you NEED to read up on the problems happening around the country when the illegals come, en masse.
This will NOT stop with L.A. It WILL (continue to) spread across the country.
With those videos, for the most part, you are forced to sit through a commercial.
CNN bias "news"??? Say it isn't so! :-/
There are more than a few black liberals who believe minority unity will result with hispanics. They better not count their pollos before their huevos hatch.
Boy is the MSM behind the curve. Go to Santa Monica Pier in California. You can feel/see the hatred between blacks and hispanics on parade. It was quite scary.
More "MSM" commentary? CNN?!?
They create the BS "news stories" to produce more "racial tension"...and fools like us react with dopey comments just like obedient dogs.
Back at the studios the big shot execs laff their asses off at our idiocy.
Then again, its fun being a Latino and pretending that it's some kind of race.
From my discussion with people from various Latino community, including discussion with mullatos and others, they believe the American black community is composed of the laziest people on the planet. Even blacks from other nations seem to view them that way. It's sad, because quite a few in the black community have risen to excellents amidst difficult circumstances.
So a unity between Hispanics and Blacks? Yes, but from a dating perspective. As a whole, they aren't well appreciated down South, even by blacks from other nations.
No, I am not kidding.
During the Rodney King Riots there was the same kind of "tension". There is video of a hispanic man who'd been knocked down, his pants pulled down, and the black attackers were spraypainting his genitals black and laughing at him.
The notion that all black rage is because of white America keeping them down is off. There is racism among other ethnic communities that simmers below the surface, waiting to explode.
But the dog bites man story always gets the headline so the deeper issues are not addressed.
Politically, there is some 'hope' for 'unity'. Latino population has surged past black numbers and is picking up speed. I believe Latinos will by-pass other minority concerns to get what they want. Already happening and this is preaching to the choir.
Illegal immigrants underestimate blacks. When illegals come to urban areas, they often observe some of the weaker examples of black Americans. Couple this with their own biases(Central American, not so much South American) before arriving here and you have the makings of a low opinion.
Many Africans hold a low opinion of American blacks for whatever reason. Much of it might be due to class systems from where they come. I have employed many who talk of being descended from Kings and Queens, so go figure. I will say the western concept of time stumps quite a few Africans.
