I'm not a fan of Dr. Dobson. Generally, when he gets involved in these types of things, he does more harm than good. In this case, I agree with his sentiment, and he doesn't seem to have shot himself in the foot with the way he said it.

McCain's public smackdown of conservative Christians in the southeast was just the last nail in his political coffin, IMHO.
