"# The Feds are still trying to get hard evidence that Shawn Hornbeck was with Devlin when he drove to Arizona in June, 2004 for his brother's wedding. Devlin was the only member of his family to drive, not fly, and he was the only one who didn't stay with the rest of the family in a Prescott, Arizona hotel. Devlin went camping near the Grand Canyon, and the FBI's busily looking for any registry, photos, or eyewitness who saw Devlin and Hornbeck together. If they get the evidence, federal kidnapping charges will quickly follow;
# Devlin's family is still remarkably silent. despite the fact that they are involved in this case in at least two ways. One--the by-now infamous white Nissan pick-up that Devlin allegedly used to kidnap Ben Ownby is registered in the name of one of Devlin's brothers. Michael Devlin himself does not have a valid driver's license. Two--Devlin stayed at his parent's home in Webster Groves recuperating from surgery on his foot. This was less than three months after Shawn Hornbeck vanished. As we noted in our story of Monday Feb. 12, authorities want to know where Shawn was during the 20 or so days Devlin was either in the hospital or recuperating at his mom and dad's house.
# Like a tortured P.O.W., Shawn was apparently broken down emotionally and physically fairly quickly. The indictments in St. Louis County charge Devlin with kidnapping and dozens of counts of sexual assault against Shawn, but only between the period of OPctober 6, 2002 (the day Shawn vanished), and November 30, 2002. Authorities are operating under the assumption that during that period, Shawn was restrained and sexually tortured so that by November 30, he could be easily controlled by Devlin because he had completely been dismantled mentally.
# The St. Louis County indictment should put an end to gtibberish spouted by people like Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, that Shawn actually "liked" his captivity. Unfortunately, O'Reilly has yet to apologize. One wonders if O'Reilly will get an earful from St. Louisans when he appears in St. Louis March 16 for a radio station event and a charity fund-raiser.
# The media have been pretty low-key in this case. Shawn and Ben Ownby's families have been asked to be left alone, and we've honored that request. The story at this point is not about the two abducted and assaulted boys; it is about the alleged kidnapper, Michael J. Devlin."

Interesting that Devlin did not have a valid drivers license and the truck belonged to Devlins bro.
How the hell does he cash a check, buy beer, use a credit card, sign a document, get a phone or utilities???
AND he works for a pizza delivery place??? I guess all their drivers show up on time every day.

Or, actually, he could have his paychecks direct deposited, no need to cash them.
If he is known by the local alcohol sales establishment, they won't card him.
Use a debit card, or just make sure the signature is on the credit card. Again, local community knows him.
I haven't used an ID to get a phone or utilities, so I am not sure that is a necessary everywhere.
Didn't have drivers license???? Don't they finger print now??
I haven't been fingerprinted cashing a check on my own bank account.
Today on Oprah, BOR will be one of the guests along with another person who was held captive by a pedophile. The topic. Why do kids stay with a kidnapper. On BOR radio program he has said he does not believe Shawn had stockholm syndrome. He said that his investigators have found out thru reliable sources that Shawn was abused and tortured in the most horrific ways until he was broke down to nothing. He says he will not go into detail, he will let the trial do that. He has backed off his original stance but is way too proud to apologise for his previous outburst. Just in case you are interested.
thanks, I will record it and watch it. I've noticed he has backed off what he originally thought, but he hasn't apologized and officially announced his change in opinion on wht happend to Shawn.

I read that Shawn's parents have said Shawn is not online. I think that is good that they are likely keeping him off the net. It is good to hear reports now and than about him. Thanks for keeping it up.
I honestly am greatful when there is no news about him cause that means things are going smoothly.
I'm watching Oprah this afternoon. Wow, what a great and powerful show! She and her guests are hitting it home that the kids can't run, and we shouldn't judge them.
And a big high five to BOR for telling it like it is. He said that this is a struggle between good and evil, and we in America are afraid to fight evil.
I Would have wanted to watch the Oprah show & would have tivo it . But I just noticed the thread now . I guess I'll wait for a re-run .

The fake Shawn Hornbeck does a good Shawn impression. A mom who spent an hour and a half chatting with him showed Fox2 the messages where he claims to be Shawn. Now prosecutors are trying to track him, and Myspace.com is being asked to take down the site.
"This guy is good at what he's doing," says the mom from Creve Coeur, who is now afraid to reveal her identity, because she worries about the person with whom she was truly talking. She now knows it was not Shawn Hornbeck, as he claimed to be.
"Everything he said just totally made me think it was Shawn. I totally was convinced that it was him," she says. "Just very manipulative."
She kept the messages, and she shared them with Fox2. He said he was Shawn. He talked about his mom. He thanked the woman for not asking about the kidnapping.
"At that time I was like, 'Oh it's great I'm helping someone, somebody who's been through a lot.'"
But the person she chatted with, was not Shawn.
"It's just not him and it's just not fair," says the attorney for Shawn's family, Scott Sherman.Sherman wrote to myspace.com twice on Wednesday, demanding they shut down the site where the fake Shawn posted real pictures. On the site, young people are posting real phone numbers wanting to hang out with the person they believe is Shawn Hornbeck, but Sherman says there's no way to know who they'd be hanging out with.
"You need to be brought to justice, and if justice means you're banned from myspace.com or you're humiliated in the public or you're prosecuted, whatever the punishment is that's available under law, on behalf of Shawn and the family, we're going to pursue that," Sherman says to the person who set up the page.
"Even if it was done as a jest and a joke, this is not funny. It's dangerous and if you continue, we're going to find out who you are and you're going to be sorry. "If myspace.com does not reveal who the person is, who fraudulently set up the "Shawndhornbeck" site, Washington County Prosecutor John Rupp says he will subpoena the records.

I caught the last 10 minutes and was wondering if it was a new show. Boy did BOR do an about face when he was screaming that we have no business judging these kids, when he seemed to be the first to do it publicly after they were found.
I would have been happy to hear an apology from him but I will not hold my breath over it.

What disturbs me is that these evil kidnappers are SO BRAZEN ! The kidnapper took him by gunpoint from a crowed bus stop ! It also sounds like the Deviant Kidnapper is an illegal immigrant from Mexico too !
I saw a segment of Oprah on BOR and it was powerful.
