Thank you N.E. Wisconsin's newest representative to Congress embarasses himself and our state. We should be so proud to have the likes of him, Gwen 'tire slasher mom' Moore, and Tammy Baldwin representing our states interest in Washington DC. Now the Congressman is refusing to comment on the above article and the White HOuse said it never happened. So either Kagen is a liar or a boorish sort. This from a guy whose son was arrested right after his election for trying to fly back to college with some marijuana in his luggage. I guess his the apple did not fall far from the tree.

Since when does classless and tasteless define 'levity'.
Pathetic that the writer can't tell the difference.

I thought you going to say that Kagen offered to do something from Rove that Kagen does at rest stops near the jersey turnpike.

I read on another thread that the White House has denied this ever happened.

Apparently the high point of his story is that as an invited guest of the Hite House, he tried to insult the President by insulting Laura Bush. Whadda "gentleman from Wisconsin":

And check this out. Also mentions the above publication....
Kagen's Stories from Washington Have People Buzzing
From the above link:
"The Scene" is an alternative monthly publication read by people all over Northeast Wisconsin. In this month's issue, Kagen is quoted as telling people from the Fox Valley Peace Coalition about some bold things he said in his first meetings with President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
It was just a casual conversation between Congressman Kagen, about a dozen area peace activists, and a freelance writer.

Perhaps Kagen's constant cruising of men's rooms is something he wouldn't want to be bragging about. Someone might get the wrong idea!

Even if this story is true, what is funny about this gashead's antics? It was a joke to call the first lady by her mother in law's name? Sounds like he was deliberately trying to be obnoxious. Maybe the president should have a Harry Truman like moment and send this moron a letter saying if you ever slight my wife like that again I'd like to slug you.
Then he blocks Rove in the bathroom? Rove should have sicced the guards on him. If Kagen hates these people so much why did he bother going to the White House event? He must just be a dirtbag.

I doubt this happened. Some of it though, as a story, is pretty funny, so on the Colbert report, this might have been a good yarn.
Except the part about calling a person purposely by the wrong name, just to insult her husband. There's nothing funny about that.
I also don't get what's funny about only being a "thousandaire", was he saying it cost him so much to buy the election that he had none of his own money left?
