I was listening to this being discussed on WMAL this morning...it seems that this little exemption was either a rider attatched to the original legislation or something that was so far down in the details that no one saw it.
A new Republican Congressman yesterday did try to raise issue with it during the debate on Stem Cell research asking if Samoa would get an exemption from it as well...and was promptly shouted down by a gavel banging Barney Frink....errr...Frank.

Did anyone really think the demoncrats were honest?
They are also helping the union lobby with the minimum wage increase. The unions have a deal going where if the minimum wage increases, they automatically get hikes in pay which is well above what they get now.

CATSUP? What about Catsup?
Have you tried fruits in those colorful cans? Or catsup with the sign "Del Monte?"
At dawn of the 20th century canning was high-tech, so the largest fruit cannery in the world was built in San Francisco. It was called Del Monte Foods Plant No.1. Now these buildings are occupied by The Cannery, the Argonaut Hotel, and San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park Visitor Center. On this day, September 28, 2004, the landmark has been named Del Monte Square in recognition of the major role Del Monte played in "revitalizing the historic waterfront area of San Francisco", said Gavin Newsom, Mayor of the city.

Sure, no problem. Now pay attention. The corrupt politicians on Capitol Hill are the politicians on Capitol Hill.

Ok point taken.
But you'd think the Libtards would have waited a little longer until the people's attention span on them was over until they went back to busniess as usual.

The people's or thier people's attention span is about as long as Katie Couric takes to read a story off the teleprompter. She WON'T be reading anything about this so their people won't hear of it. It doesn't exist.
Example - harry Reid less than a montha go was calling for more troops in Iraq. Now all we hear is his protest of Bush sending in more troops, nobody in the MSM is going back to those quotes just a few weeks ago to raise the question of "what changed his mind?"
