Indeed. From a secular standpoint, a Macroevolutionist or Creationist United States would both be able to make scientific and technological progress. Creationists and Macroevolutionists agree on most things of "current" science (physics, geology, astronomy, biology (yes), etc.); they disagree on what happened long ago. If the United States became predominantly Creationist, American scientific development would still remain on the vanguard of progress.

- Look what happens as soon as fundamentalist creationists take over the majority on a school board.
- Look at the venom spewed at scientists on these very threads.
If these folks ever had any real power can you imagine what they would do? Just think of all the sciences that would be "discouraged" under a government run by such folks:
- Geology and archaeology--can't find evidence of the flood. GONE!
- Astronomy--that big bang stuff, and all those old dates. GONE!
- Genetics--all those similarities to chimps, and all those old dates. GONE!
- Radiometric dating--can't get the ages right. GONE!
- Biology--all that evilution stuff. GONE!
- Paleontology--all those inconvenient fossils. GONE!
If you don't believe this is true, look at some of the posts on these very threads.
