Tears run from the eyes of U.S. President George W. Bush during a ceremony in honor of Medal of Honor winner Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham in the East room of the White House in Washington, January 11 2007. Cpl. Dunham was killed when he jumped on a grenade to save fellow members of his Marine patrol while serving in Iraq. This is one of the things I do like about Bush. However much I might disagree with him on some issues, there is no denying that he is a man of character. There isn't a bone of phoniness or pretensiousness in him.

I believe Dunham is the man who was honored at a ceremony held in Dec. at the dedication of a Marine facility.
The parents of the hero stood up in the audience and were applauded and Pres. Bush almost lost it when he looked at the parents. A photo was taken later of Pres. Bush with his arms around the parents as he spoke casually with them.
We are blessed to have a man with a heart as CIC.

Perhaps the best indication of his concern for the military is his visits with the bereaved. I understand he has taken a lot of time for that, as Reagan did. That speaks volumes.
We should all support our military. They deserve honor, respect, and the best pay and benefits.

I saw George Sr. cry also when he spoke of his airplane WWII buddies who died when their plane was shot down. (60 years ago!). Bush Sr. was the sole survivor.
I saw him weep also when he spoke of his baby daughter who died of leukemia.
And he again got teary on Larry King Live when he appeared with his daughter recently.
And who can forget his performance at the Reagan funeral when he spoke of Pres. Reagan...a truly touching moment.

When the left says really ugly things about him [W] he just blows it off and laughs at it. When kerry degraded the military W came out fighting. He'll not allow anyone to do that. That's the kind of man he is.

I will not qualify or excuse.
President George Bush is a good and decent man, a man of great moral character. Does this picture surprise anyone who has been watching carefully through both terms? President Bush is there beside every last soldier and Marine, he is never more happy than when with his troops.
Never does the reality of his burden seem more clear than on a day like this, pictured.
The entire world may have forgotten what the word, noble, means, but President George W. Bush has not, nor will he ever.
Please see last night's television speech to confirm.

I think Dubya come from emotional family remember George Bush Sr cry in that speech in FLAI think you are mistaking "still waters running deep" with "emotionalism". Emotional families are liberal families. The Bush's are not emotional. One cannot be of "emotional blood" and stand as tall or as straight as the President has and continues to.
In 2004, someone dear to me was murdered. Due a thread, I re-experienced my grief. My face, today, resembled President Bush's today.
When one is of "emotional blood" one throws ashtrays, or declares a querry over the meaning of the word "IS". One is of "emotionalism" when one declares that in a face of winning or losing the war, that we should lose but because one feels "less powerful" in their personal lives.
One who can assert that the President is of an "emotional family" in response to the President's photo and in context of the situation, is, himself, an emotional kinda person, not led by fact, thought, or purpose.
Former President Bush did cry recently. IN a rush of many different images, he saw how much a part of God are his sons.
Still waters run deep.

we just had a kid here in Mobile killed....the parents printed a letter in the Mobile Press Register thanking all Mobilians for their love and support and also mention that W had called them and it was much appreciated....He cried today and as I watched the news clips of this presentation, I cried. My nephew came home from Iraq at the end of November and I'm so very thankful....God Bless George W. Bush; God Bless this great country!
