Didn't he just say (like last month) he thought we should send MORE troops to Iraq?

Flip flopper.

Just once I would like to see a candidate who tells us what he thinks and not what he thinks we want to hear.

He's also up for re-election in 2008.

I supported Brownback years ago when he first ran for the Senate. He appears to have "grown" during his time in Washington.

Another reason why Senators don't make Presidents. They have all the leadership of a caboose.

They're so used to sitting around and bloviating. Stick a fork in Brownback, he's the Senatorial version of Gary Bauer.

2010. Pat Roberts is up for re-election in 2008.

Good evening.
"I agree."

After reading some of your posting history I can believe that you agree with Brownback and Hagel.

I'll know to pass on anything you post.

I see no reason to choose Brownback in the primaries over Giuliani or McCain. It is fairly clear he is not going to fight and win a war.

Are you sure. I thought Brownback won the seat when Dole stepped down 1996.

Scratch Brownback from the Presidential campaign - he's an idiot.

Sam Brownback supports The Surge....of illegals flooding our border...

What's wrong with that? If we can turn America into a third world country, then these buffoons are assured of automatic re-election. < / sarcasm >

Brownback is a Senator, a designation that makes any claim to common sense automatically suspect and any presidential ambitions profoundly unserious.

Oh, good line!

Brownback has dropped onto my "Dinglebob" list in the last few weeks; no way I'd consider him as President.

Exactly. It is almost as if they are pretending that we can sit down and talk to savages, ask the terrorists to play nice so we can go home.

What they mean by 'Political' solution is some kind of face-saving withdrawal, also known as "defeat".

"And just what in the heck does that mean? A "political solution"?"
Well, splitting iraq in three is political. And unless the rules of engagement are radically revised, not much of a military solution is possible.

I have gone on the record on this forum saying that Sam Brownback is a lightweight and not up to the Office of President. He is my Senator. I was roundly criticized for voicing my opinion. I hope that all of those who took the opposite view will enjoy their crow souffle.

We are in our current position because of the politicians who put their political ambitions above winning the war in Iraq.I hold them responsible for prolonging the war and creating more US casualties. We should punish all of these cowards if they cause us to lose this war.
