Folks in Plains, Ga. were just delighted - in a respectfully restrained way - when Jimmy Carter mentioned in a TV interview a few weeks ago that he wants to be buried in his front yard in his hometown, where the neighbors still refer to the former president simply as "Jimmy."
Very little was known about Carter's funeral plans until then...
I thought he wanted to be buried next to the old gas station where he and Billy used to hang out eating peanuts.

You beat me to it. I look forward to Carter's funeral.
He should be embalmed.
I truly look forward to the event.
I wonder if a president will ever opt for cremation.
Me too, but I won't watch it like I did Reagan and Ford. For Carter, can you imagine the speakers? I'll pass.
By the looks of them, I think his liver lips already have.
I don't have a problem with being cremation. My husband and I both think it will be a good thing to do when the time comes, however, my mother, hates the idea. She says it is not biblical?
Yes....because you beat me to it!
Oh, we can' do that? Hmm.
Why? We don't own the Panama Canal because Jimmah Carter GAVE it away?
I see.
(using the voice of Sam Kinison screaming): "Ohhh! Ohhh! Ohhhh! Jimmy Carter! You sucked! You were the worst F'ing president in history! You put us through hell!! Ohhh! Ohhh! Ohhh! The interest rates were a zillion percent! You screwed up Iran and the middle east! Your wife and kids were ugly! Billy peed on my leg! Ohhh! Ohhh! Ohhh! You should have shut the F up when you left office? But nooo! You pulled out that stupid F'ing hammer and have not stoped banging for years! Ohh! Ohhh! Ohhh! Go to hell Jimmah! To hell!! Ohhh! Ohhh! Ohhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I thought I'd have to wait until he died!
Next Tuesday works for me!
What follows is the complete list of things about which I care less than where Jimm-ah is going to be buried:
</end list>
Hmmm...never hear that before. Did she give any reference to why she thinks that?
Folks in Plains, Ga. were just delighted - in a respectfully restrained way...
lol, I picture people dancing in the street yelling "Woohoo, they're gonna bury Carter! Wait....he's not dead yet?"
