only God and the gov't are aware of exactly how many planes were SUPPOSED to be involved. Four were actually taken over and I've heard it mentioned, with no proof, that other targets were in chicago and LA..I'm afraid we the little people will NEVER know exactly how big this thing was supposed to be..

God knows, but maybe not the government. I'm absolutely certain the government knew there was a possibility of hijackings. But I'm also sure the government did not know exactly what they were to be looking for.

Many of my family had gone to Massachusetts on Sept. 5 to bury my father in the family plot. Very light security on that day despite travel advisories about possible hijackings. On the evening of the tenth many of us returned to California. Security was extraordinarily tight with extra security checking everything. Our flight was rerouted twice, and on a lay over in Cincinnati we watched from the tarmac as an entire terminal (United Airlines as I recall) was emptied while police and fire crews encircled the building. Didn't sleep a wink the entire way home, and was extremely aware of every person on our flight of Middle East decent.
