Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to call for a bold new environmental plan in his State of the State address Tuesday evening.
The speech, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., will call upon Californians to make the Golden State a leader in the fight against global warming, NBC11's Mike Luery reported.

Fabian Nunez for the Democrat response.
Shouldn't the true Republicans get a rebuttal as well?
addendum... Don Perata is with Nunez.
CBS TV
Fabian patting himself on the back and touting bipartisanship--global warming, prescription drugs, minimum wage...
Now he's all revved up for Clean Air and Universal Healthcare.
New laws for clean alternative fuels is on the drawing board....
"Will be relentless" in focusing on education. ... for EVERY child....
"Multi-billion budget gap" but we will not balance the budget on the backs of seniors and our most vulnerable citizens"...
and now Perata ...
UGH. Borrow, borrow, borrow...
Were Republicans invited?
Good question!

H.D. Palmer is going to be on KFI with John and Ken at 6PM.
He's the budget guy for Arnie. Could be interesting.

In case anyone wants to confirm what they heard, lol.
Thanks for postin' the thread, Jedi. Well done.
Appreciated. Your input was very informative, and the link you gave (the one on Arnold's website) was very useful.
"This is an excellent effort to connect the dots in the areas of environmental benefits, economic development and energy independence and do it in a way that lets the market determine the process to be developed," Jones said.
Jones hooked up with some old Enron guys... to save us. :-)
Folks usually scramble at the beginning of live threads to find a source in their area. I just posted every source I knew of, lol.
According to HD Palmer on KFI, Arnold will propose the "lowest percentage spending growth in 5 years" (or close to that phrase). I'm not sure what that works out to, or if he was talking just the general fund. Time will tell.
As to the rest of Palmer's statements, he sounds like a Dem shyster. It's not a tax! (squeal....)
These "Malox Moments" are becoming more and more frequent and with higher and higher intensity of amplitude, dude!!!
Within 25 months the people will be completely out of patience with this turkey to an even higher degree than they were with Davis!!! I can hardly wait!!!
Sorry I didn't get back to you. I see someone else explained WASS. :)
The Austrian is a shameless political showboat who wouldn't recognize a principle if it bit him in the ass.
Dufus Sundheim and the CRP have a lot to answer for, including turning the CRP into the Rat-Lite party (RLP).
I'm trying to find the "lite" part. ;-)
