We had this right before Christmas.
IT HURT!
and All thru the house
Not a person was stirring
Sorry to hear that. What a terrible way to spend Christmas that must have been for you.
My college-aged son was sick with this Christmas night. He finally had to go to the ER for fluids. I cleaned the bathroom with Clorox clean-up to make sure no one else in the family got sick. I was the only one to get it. One would've thought all that bleach would've killed those cooties. The worst part for me was the body aches. Attendants in the ER told my son that they were seeing LOTS of this.
My husband and I were visitng our son,daughter-in-law and grandaughter ,in San Clemente, right before Christmas. I woke during the night feeling really awful and within the hour everyone in the house ,except my husband, was horribly sick. The 4 of us had eaten asparagus, hubby despises it. We figured that was the culprit. A neighbor who works at a lab had the leftover asparagus tested. It was fine. Next, all the neighbors were sick. Hubby got sick 3 weeks later.
Had this one Christmas about five or six years ago.
Got up, watched the kids open presents, spent the rest of the day curled up in a ball next to the john.
Was fine in about 36 hours.
I am not a germophobe, but I am now very cautious about washing my hands and touching my face.
My son had it and threw up all night (poor thing). I was surprised no one else in the house got it because we all took care of him BUT we washed our hands and sprayed alot of Lysol around. I hate not being able to kiss on my family, but I did not kiss anyone (including the dog) for the rest of the week, because I hate vomiting.
Then, the two-year-old got it. I had no idea one child could produce that much vileness in a 24-hour period. We slept in the tub!
Yep Christmas day on the crapper for us...
I got them BOTH the day before Thanksgiving . . . .absolutely miserable!
