PITTSBURGH The F-B-I says professionals in Pittsburgh are being targeted in a so-called "hitman" e-mail scheme that may have originated in Russia. The e-mails, mostly received around Christmas, tell the recipient that there is a contract out on their life, generally for 50-thousand dollars. The sender then goes on to tell the supposed target that if they send the hitman more money than that -- generally ranging from 80-thousand to 150-thousand dollars -- the hitman will leave them alone.
The F-B-I says it first became aware of the scam when people in Atlanta and New Orleans got similar e-mails in early December.
Anyone who gets an e-mail should report it to the F-B-I's Internet Crime Complaint Center at w-w-w-dot-i-c-3-dot-g-o-v.
You're better off. That was an awful video. Worse yet, it is one of those that stick in your head. I can't look at my cats without singing the silly sound.

Heck ... you should see my future bride ... the widow of a slain Diamond mine owner ... she's twenty seven and absolutely gorgeous and her love for me is ... well, I'm the only man she could love.
We'll marry just as soon as my check for her sick Mum's hospital bills, the pay-off to the hooligans that stole her VISA and passport (thank goodness she wasn't raped, but it was close ... she says) and the passage ticket to bring her to the US clears.
They must be having trouble over there, though ... I haven't had an e-mail from her in two weeks ... I'd better call my bank and see if the check has cleared.
Oh yeah ... you are all invited to our wedding ... sometime in ... well ... I'll keep y'all posted ....
