yeah, that's him.
so much for the idea that the cell phone video was "secretly made" - there is no way they could miss the guy with the camera panning over the body.
any translation of the audio?

Good thing no one is seen spitting on his cadaver, like they surely did, otherwise the "poor saddam" crowd would be out in force yet again.

You would think the people in charge of world-class events like this would have learned by now the easiest way to avoid low-quality video of an event from showing up all over the web is to video tape it yourself and make sure the tape is widely distributed. But no, time after time they try to keep an event under wraps and sure enough it's only a matter of days before the underground tapes hit the web.
A professional TV crew, not to be confused with CNN, CBS, NBC, etc., should have been there to document the event. That might even have led to a more decorous end to his miserable life. Frankly I don't care how many bad tapes turn up showing him being hanged, or that he was taunted by those doing the hanging, but they sure did it in such a way as to assure tapes would get out. Maybe that was their plan to start with?
For my money it should have been a public hanging. If the world ever needed to know that someone was being punished for their crimes this was that someone. In fact, I would have sanctioned revving up the old plastic shredder one more time, just for him!

Same here. I never needed to see it to know the animal was dead.

What is that red thing in the video? It looks like a little red rubber ball.
