Thank the Lord someone else knows that, people treat me like I have two heads.

I wouldn't have paid him in attention if he hadn't have acted so standoffish. It's hard to discribe but it was in the eyes.

Wow. We've been on that ship and it's sister ship, Monarch of the Seas Those two sail the shorter cruises to the Bahamas and Key West. We had sworn off cruises for awhile, but just recently started to reconsider. It will be interesting to see where this story goes. I hope it is a false alarm.

That's what I wondered about this guy. Why was he going thru Dallas to get to Northern Calif, from Michigan? He didn't seem to care for talking but they make you share dining tables and my mom is a chatter box. He told her he was studying to be a bio-med engineer. She wished him well in his studies and future employment (grin) I didn't get her trusting spirit I guess.

No, studied all the witness accounts and family interviews (some of the family is nutzo - the brother may still be in jail, as of this posting - I haven't checked that lately).

The alleged mosque sighting was false. Not even the Muslim roommate had ever attended or visited there.

"I'm still wondering why a 20 [per Fox] [reported by the Dearborn paper as 28] year old Iraqi is driving a semi-truck from Dearborn to Miami to ship auto parts????"

Those auto parts were first reported as "electrical auto parts".
Later when that dufus spokesperson can out, she said they were just nuts and bolts type parts.

Follow-up: A Nalco tank car was being processed to unload some ethylene diamine at the plant (or vice versa) and the valve came loose, allowing the contents to mix with water and spew into the air as vapor (what looked like the huge billowing clouds of smoke for miles around).

Tank holds 40,000 lbs of the chemical or 4,000 gallons. Unknown how much was vaporized into the environment, but it is not deadly or toxic, just an irritant to mucus membranes if one is in close proximity to it.

Three employees were sent to the hospital, with minor injuries. Also, 14 other employees were treated on-scene by Nalco and Ft Bend EMS.

They said 7 people have gone to the ER from the incident, but I couldn't tell if that is in addition to these employees listed. (Public or nearby residents, IOW.)

There is a triage center at SL FD Station #1 on Hwy. 90. Part of the road is still closed there, because of that. Anyone who is experiencing any problems from the release should report there.

Hope I covered all I heard from the presser.

Additionally to my above post:

That Sugar Land fire station #1 is at 255 Guenther Way.

Anyone having respiratory problems should go straight to the nearest ER, they are saying now. There is still triage at that fire station, too.

>In Manhattan today it was mercaptan <

That is one possibility. I haven't heard anyone confirm they located the source of the odor yet. Until they do everyone is just guessing.

>So far it appears that everything has been just coincidences on a busy day, as has happened before.<

Do you know any professional investigators? I'll lay you odds that not a one believes in coincidences. Coincidence is a word you use when you don't want the general public to know the truth.

What explosions? I read about them on 9/11 here on FR from people who heard them from their offices. I also spoke with people who heard them near the State Department in Foggy Bottom and the Supreme Court building.

Yeh...well...I know the feeling intimately. There are supposed to be folks combing these threads that are sharper than a tack, and I surely haven't seen that as the rule. For the most part I've seen people fly off the handle at the mere mention that some sainted creature in a high position is not doing their job. It's kind of like...Wake up people! If all these people in high positions were doing their job, we wouldn't have the chaos in society that exists-plain and simple. And no one can even contemplate crossing a party line to say that a Republican is acting like a spaz, or a democrat is acting like an idiot. That would be unthinkable and cause for treason and the perp must be thrown in jail and perhaps electrocuted. And I could go on and on, but I am even beginning to bore myself by spouting off my complaints...

Well, that's up to you if you think it's unwarranted. We all have a right to think what we want. And as for keeping it all in perspective...I think I do a mighty fine job of keeping it all in perspective. Have you checked the border situation lately? Safe and secure, right? We have absolutely no illegals roaming the streets, right? And they do absolutely no harm to U.S. citizens or any of our social systems. They're all just a peachy bunch and I have totally lost my mind to not want lawbreakers in the United States?

Everybody really and truly follows the law and all is just peachy, right?

You sound like you are on the Mod Squad, and that's just peachy cause everybody;'s gotta do something. So, is the intent of this utterly ridiculous, "Perspective" comment designed to shut me up once and for all? Because in my opinion, that is exactly how it appears...

Excuse me...but there is no whining that is occurring. If you choose to call it whining, go for it, but I am simply calling it like it is. If calling it like it is, is what you classify as whining...oh well. Anyway, more than likely, they just figured it was time for a bit of cool public relations, so they caught one of the critters. We don't have to be rocket scientists to realize that many more of these thugs escape the clutches of authorities. And I am quite convinced it is deliberate. Mostly because much of our population has become quite lazy. And if you don't want to believe that's true, that's your business...

And guess what? If you don't like what I say, then just, "scroll on by." It is actually a very simple thing to do. When you see my name, use the appropriate arrow button. Because if you deliberately read something that causes you such great pain, well, that's just not smart...

I didn't say the borders were secure. In fact, the situation in that regard is woefully bad, no arguements here. It's getting pretty close to the time to recognize our gov't has become "destructive of those ends" and take it back by force.

So, is the intent of this utterly ridiculous, "Perspective" comment designed to shut me up once and for all?

I can dream, can't I?
