I don't understand the Guiliani love fest here on FR. I don't either. He did a great job of keeping up the spirits in NYC after 9/11, but I'm not sure how difficult that actually was (immediately after a disaster, people's natural response is to unify, but it usually doesn't last and it didn't in NYC).
Guiliani is strong on defense, but on every other issue he is a liberal.

I'll give him his due, it is NOT easy to rise to the occasion after a major disaster. Many can do so and some better than others.
And then there's Louisiana. Remember Blanco and Nagin?
I believe Rudy extreme liberal views are enough to disqualify him personally, but add in all the personal baggage and well forgetaboutit.

"Guiliani is strong on defense, but on every other issue he is a liberal." I keep reading that here on FR, but I cannot find any reference to his position on national defense. He has never commanded an army. The guy is a gun confiscationist, anti 2nd Amendment. What makes anyone trust him with the U.S. Armed Services?

The good people unified and the snakes kept still until they could surface again!
BTW were here did you live through this in NYC?
