I don't either. He did a great job of keeping up the spirits in NYC after 9/11, but I'm not sure how difficult that actually was (immediately after a disaster, people's natural response is to unify, but it usually doesn't last and it didn't in NYC).

The good people unified and the snakes kept still until they could surface again!

BTW were here did you live through this in NYC?

Which gave the appearance of unity. Bush enjoyed the same thing from Congress, immediately after 9/11 the 'Rats "stood behind him" but as soon as the emotions died down they were talking appeasement.
