On this issue, the Republicans are nitwits and cowards. Bush refuses to address this invasion by people who show contempt for our laws. The laws that state that you cannot enter the country illegally do not apply to them. I wonder what would happen if I were to state the law against robbing banks does not apply to me.
"Illegal immigrants also pay sales tax every time they go to the store and other federal and state taxes every time they buy gasoline, he said." ""
So do I and all my neighbors.
The biggest difference between us and the Illegals is that we don't try to transport 25 bodies in a Honda van. Their price per mile for gasoline is nowhere my price permile.
They should call it "funding hate", because that's what their parents have for Americans and that's what their children grow up to be like [ Exhibit 1: the Gran Marchas last spring ].
This is what the Americans of California are forced to do by the Judgeocracy: fund our own destruction.
"Illegal immigrants also pay sales tax every time they go to the store and other federal and state taxes every time they buy gasoline, he said"
Oh well!!! If that is all we have to pay to cover all these freebees than I guess I'll quit paying income tax and property tax and license fees etc...
The dirty little secret is that there is an infrastructure of government and private sector jobs built around these ponzi schemes. No politician is going to cut their own throat. Statesmen ... there aren't any.
I'll say it again, they are now a protected species here in CA and will soon be on the protected list with president Pelosi in power.
Once the amnesty bill is passed, they will be encouraged to then come out of the shadows and become legal. They are already planning a huge voter registration after this occurs to make them one of the, if not THE most activist and largest voting block in the country. This will in essence put them at the helm of the future of this country.
And all of this in the name of cheap labor. This labor ain't cheap, there will be a huge price to pay in the future.
Some of them, but the citizenship status of the baby is a matter of the Constitution. That's not to say that you can't send the mother/parents home, and let them decide to take the baby or not, it's just that the baby will retain his/her US citizenship. I know a guy, and a much younger gal, that are in that situation. Both born to Mexican parents, probably illegal but I don't know, in the US. Went back to Mexico and only latter returned to the US. She has an associates degree, and is working on her bachelors, between working 1/2 time and caring for a young son and younger twin daughters. I've lost touch with him, and in any case he was only an acquaintance, she was a coworker.
I sure do get tired of paying for illegals. And what is their benefit? Cheaper food? Not when all the costs are involved.
Cheaper labor costs? NOt when you include the overall costs incurred by our society.
They are all legal US citizens, so where is the problem? :)
Some Americans feel that if they can't have gardeners, housekeepers, car detailers, landscapers, etc it's not because they can't "afford it," it's because there's "a shortage" of imported people willing to work for the $8/hr they'd pay.

Well, I am here in Dallas. He is welcome to our 700,000 illegals.
