Ahh, yes, the Vietnam model lives!!! The Dems did this routinely toward the end of the VN War when they got into squabbles with the Nixon WH. They would turn turn the money off to fight the war for a month until the squabble got resolved, then they'd turn it back on for the next month.
This pattern was repeated several times in the waning months of the war. The part of the story that no one ever talks about is that while the money was turned off, American troops could not buy fuel for airplanes, bullets or bombs; none of which stopped the VC from continuing their attacks and continuing to kill American troops.
This is total BS!! We need to let the Dems know that we will not tolerate a repetition of the Vietnam model. Not this time!!!
Congress holds the power of the purse through the appropriations process funding the Military (Article 1 Section 8 U.S. Constitution). Working for the Air Force in a Budget Office we have played hell to make ends meet over the last few fiscal years. After the November elections we had a pretty good feeling we were screwed! The statements by this raving moonbat confirm it. I fear for our ability to Fly, Fight and Win in FY08. God help us all if she gets her way.

The fact that the Speaker and Majority leader have publicly raised the possibility of defunding the war will massively boost the insurgents' morale. The result: more attacks and more dead American soliders, not to mention Iraqi civilians.
From the insurgents' perspective, victory is now at hand.

The mere threat to obstruct the prosecution of the Iraqi War gives our enemies the will to carry on.
Finally, proof that "we support the troops" has always been a lie. They have always hated the military and they always will.

This is exactly the kind of behavior any good conservative would want from the Pelosi bunch. Not funding the war, raising taxes, beginning to destroy the economy with minimum wage hikes, taxes etc. THIS IS WHAT'S NECESSARY TO WAKE PEOPLE UP! Unfortunately, the next terrorist strike on the US will happen soon and THAT will be the ultimate rude awakening. '08 is going to be a much different story than '06.
