NANCY PELOSI’S carefully crafted introduction to the American people last week seemed to reinforce some stereotypes of the so-called mommy party. On the day she made history as the first woman to be elected speaker, she appeared on the House floor, surrounded by children and bedecked in pearls.
...But even as this nurturing image dominated the news, the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday was notable for another milestone in gender politics: the return of the Alpha Male Democrat.... The return of Democratic manliness was no accident; it was a carefully planned strategy. But now that the Macho Dems are walking the halls of Congress, it remains to be seen whether they will create as many problems for Democrats as they solved. After all, these new Democrats have heterodox political views that could complicate Democratic caucus politics, and their success may raise uncomfortable questions for those Democrats who don’t pass the new macho test.
...The architects of this strategy, Representative Rahm Emanuel, Mr. Lapp’s boss, as well as Senator Charles Schumer, are well-known political pit bulls. Mr. Emanuel won his Congressional seat by navigating the ward politics of Chicago’s old-fashioned political machine.
He is missing half of one finger — his aides refer to him as “nine point five” — and swears enough to make a Soprano blush. Senator Schumer is so aggressive and demanding that he has a reputation as one of the most difficult people in the Senate to work for. Both men, who have been elevated to leadership positions in the new Congress, are throwbacks to the era when tough-guy Democrats were urban ethnic politicians, like Dan Rostenkowski and Tip O’Neill.

The liberal culture teaches men to act like women to show their sensitivity, and women to act like men to show their independence. It's no wonder these people are wearing each others clothes and having their bodies mutilated to change their sex.
No question,when I see Rahm Emanuel or Chuckie Schumer on tv thoughts of John Wayne, Dick Butkus or Rocky Marciano immediately come to mind, ahhh ha ha ha ha ha !!!
Being obnoxious and pushy is not being macho. Chuck Schumer's high-pitched, whiny voice, and annoying smrik are all desperately metrosexual. A masculine man can be manly just standing still and glaring. And what's so masculine about Jim Webb, a novelist, for goodness sake. He's more like a pit bull than a man.
Newsflash: gun-grabbing is just about the most unmanly political activity imaginable, and both Emanuel and Schumer (especially the later) are among the most prominent gun-grabbers in Congress.
The author appears to be confusing manliness with obnoxiousness.

That's strange. Because I thought that the Democrat strategy was to call Rep. Foley a child molesting SISSY.
That is what it took to make Democrats look good. Of course, they KNEW about the communications for years, knew more than the GOP, and knew that no minors were involved in the sex encounters.
But it was good yellow journalism. Bravo.
Jim Webb wrote a book with a passage about an adult male slipping a boy's genitals in his mouth. And it had nothing to do with a molestation subplot.
Not really a "manly" thing to do.
Okay, am I the only one who finds it amusing that one of the Democrats' alpha males is a ballet dancer?

In the democrat/lib/Subversive party there CANNOT be an Alpha Male of course. You see, the demo/libs believe in total equality, so that means that a homosexual man is just as "macho" as a straight male. And we know that the very concept of "macho" is hotly contested by the Lesbian sector of that party, why, a woman can do anything a man can do, In fact, they don't need a male presence at all for that matter. To them, "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle". Even straight lib women value and prefer a "sensitive", submissive, non-assertive "male", because of course, a truly liberal, liberated modern woman can never submit to a man. So a true, demo/lib male in the Subversive party should just shut up, let that "thing" of his just shrivel up and go away, because it isnt necessary for him in the first place, follow their leaders, Pelosi and the Hildebeast, because they wear the pants (and the suits) and have the balls in that party.
