I cant believe I votted for him to be reelected.
Don't worry, I voted for clinton the first time and I'm still beating myself up (as I should). We're allowed one good mistake in a lifetime!

I have always despised Carter since he gave Iran away and was one of the first to blame 9/11 on him. He REALLY, REALLY was our worst president.

The Russians wanted the Shah gone and he helped them. Why would Soviets want to get Shah out and to install Islamic regime in Iran? To undermine pro-Soviet secular regime in Iraq? Or maybe to promote radical Islam in Afghanistan?
Please explain.

Carter, like Liberals in general, was a a de facto communist aider and enabler of communism. A crypto-communist who wanted a communism without firing squads, but still a communist for all intents and purposes.

"Founding Father of Modern Day Terrorism."
Carter should be put on trial for crimes against humanity.
His anti-Americanism during a time of war are beyond shameful in that he is giving the enemy cause to kill more of our young guys.

I had some recollections from the fall of the Shah of Iran when it happened. I did not follow this closely, and probably had the impressions the mainstream media wanted me to have: A) Jimmy Carter supported Human Rights around the globe. B) Jimmy Carter, Democrats, the left, would not support "right-wing dictators." C) Prior administrations allied with these "right-wing dictators" vs. communism. D) The Shah ran a police state. D) The Ayatollah Khomeini was a cleric, a man of faith like Jimmy Carter. E) The Shah fell, the cleric took over, end of story.
Thanks for providing the rest of the story.
