That would be the way real men do battle (check Antietam 10,000 Rebels and 12,000 Yankees gave their life in 4 hours).
I wish we could do what you say but we are dealing with rosters who hide behind hens and chicks.

Actually, this situation has been the historical norm for this area and these people.
If it weren't for the fact they there's so much oil and oil infrastructure extant in the region, we wouldn't even be there, and we doubtless wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
We'd simply them kill each other off.
