The American people did not vote for Pelosi to be Speaker of the House. House members did.

Neither did the American people vote to give control of Congress to the socialists.

A tiny handful of voters in several small districts voted for a Democrat candidate. The few gains in numbers gave the Democrat/Socialists a razor-thin majority in Congress.

that combined with the fact that Republicans ran their usual weak and sissy campaigns, gave up the game.
